We are thrilled to announce that not one but TWO of our Real Good Ciders have won Great Taste Awards this year!
Phantom Of The Orchard 1% Lo-Al Cider received TWO STARS - a rarity in itself, but we're proud to add that it is the ONLY low alcohol cider to have been awarded. Such an honour and a fantastic feeling after working really hard to make a full bodied, full flavoured, no compromise product. We knew it was possible, we knew that the true cider character could be maintained, and winning this award feels like we truly achieved that goal. Check out the very kind judges comments below:
'On the palate, the sweetness is more redolent of a dessert apple than a cider apple but on the length, the cider apple character comes cleanly though.'
'Cleverly made, with a marked cidrous character for a low alcohol version.'
'We think this is so clever and know how difficult these are to make so feel it worthy of a high award.'
Now, for something a little more vintage. Going from one of our newest to one of our classics, the absolute workhorse that is No Brainer took home a one star award! The old timer is chuffed but not surprised - he knows his worth... here's what the judges had to say:
'A soft cloudy golden yellow cider with authentic and traditional cider notes. Lives up to its description with a good blend of varieties that work well together.'
'The effervescence on the palate is gently pleasing with clear cider apple flavour, sourness, tannicity and astringency in pleasant balance.'
